Rules

•    Golf Canada rules apply except where local rules prevail.
•    Men play White Tees. Ladies play Gold Tees.
•    Players must play together when playing the match. Flip of tee to determine who plays first on opening hole.
•    The highest ranked player of the bracket will make first contact. If contact is made three times, with proof, and opponent doesn’t respond or agree to set a match date the match will be forfeited and the person making contact will advance to the next round. If a match date cannot be agreed to by both players within the deadline date a coin flip will determine the winner. Coin flip will be done by the Professional Staff.
•    The match will consist of an 18-hole match play format to determine a winner. If tied after 18 holes a Sudden death playoff will take place. The Pro shop staff will do their best to offer options 1-3, in that order.

1.    Starting hole of the match (regular HDCP apply), 18-hole rotation.
2.    Opposite 9-hole course (regular HDCP apply).
3.    One-hole putt off closest to the pins wins (HDCP does not apply)

For any rule conflict or differences of opinion, make note and consult with Professional Staff after your round for a ruling.
Handicap’s
•    How were Handicap’s and seeding determined?
Golfers handicap index, as of June 8th, was taken from Golf Canada and converted to course handicap using Course Handicap Table from appropriate tees. Then the golfer’s course handicap was multiplied at .80 (80%) to determine golfers handicap for the entire Match Play event. Handicaps were rounded up if .50 or higher and rounded down if .49 or lower. Seeding was determined by your Handicap Index. If a two players index were the same a name was drawn to determine priority.
•    Golfers play off the lower players HDCP (EX: if player “A’ is a 2 HDCP and player “B” is a 13 HDCP, Player “B” receives 11 strokes on HDCP holes #1 thru #11). If you have any questions before your match a Golf Professional will be able to help.

Must hand in the score card to the Professional Staff for review or email scorecard to Jason Upton, Jason.upton@fortmcmurraygolfclub.com  within 24 hours and. Both Competitors must attest and sign the scorecard.
